Initiating
  • Completion of a project or creative brief
  • Identification of the goals, strategy and measurement criteria
  • Creation of the experience map
Planning
  • Development of a project timeline
  • Development of Storyboards (thumbnail mockups of various pages in the site-map)
  • Creation of a content list (what writing, sound, bideo or other assets are required?)
Starting
  • If a team of designers/programmers are required, then this is when the team is formed
  • Timeline and Production expectations and benchmarks are communicated to team members
  • Preliminary writing and designs are started
Executing
  • The designs are optimized for the media application
  • Illustrator or Photoshop files are imported and manipulated
  • Programming of functionality is completed
  • Animations, graphics and other assets are processed
  • Prototype Animation or Web site is completed
Controlling
  • Written content is proof read and verified to be accurate and free of spelling and grammatical errors
  • Special functionality is tested to be working as expected
  • The visual layout of the animation is inspected and verified to be appropriate
  • Revisions are completed if required
  • Project timeline/functionality/budget is adjusted if required
Closing
  • Team review of the project and its performance
  • Client review of the project and its life-cycle
  • Assesment of measurement criteria if applicable
